Almost all of the research done at the 'Farm' involves outdoor observations and experiments conducted on groups of cowbirds living in large semi-natural conditions.  

We use automated tracking and voice recognition technology to conduct experiments and measure individuals' behaviour
as they live and interact in complex social environments.
